THANK YOU Kelli, Lisa, and Bessi!

Three members of our Steering Committee recently retired from their roles. Kelli Dobmeier LCSW, has served as our Officer of Communications while Lisa Auricchio, LCSW served as our Officer of Training, and Bessi Fitzgerald, LMHC served as our Officer of Digital Media. We want to thank them for their commitment to the EMDR community. We greatly appreciate the time they have taken to make sure our group ran smoothly, and we will miss them at our monthly meetings. Thank you all for your outstanding dedication to our mission!

WNY Trauma Collaborative Updates

The mission statement has been updated and can be viewed on the website: https://www.westernnyemdr.com/
As per the vote in April 2026 regarding non-profit status, we will be transitioning to a 501(c)(6). The results of the vote are as follows:
- 1.5% voted to stay a 501(c)(3)
- 12.3% voted to disband the nonprofit
- 86.2% voted to transition to 501(c)(6)

New Therapist Directory

Updated EMDR Consultation Directory

All members currently listed on the consultation page have been sent an email with instructions on how to add your consultation profile. If you didn't receive it, please email the wnysteeringcommittee@gmail.com to receive the instructions. If you would like to be added to the consultation page, please visit the consultation tab on our website and complete the consultation form.

New Feature: Office Space for Rent

Advanced EMDR Scholarships Available to WNYTC Members

We will be offering 3 scholarships available to apply for with the following requirements:

Agency/Non-Profit Scholarship: We respect those working in Agency/Non-Profit settings and understand the financial limitations that can impact those working in these settings.

Eligibility:

- Be a member in good standing

- Work in an agency/non-profit setting

- WNYTC member since 12/31/2025

Proficiency Scholarship: We honor and recognize members who have demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the practice of EMDR.

Eligibility:

- Be a member in good standing

- Be a licensed clinician that have been trained in EMDR for 5+ years (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/PsyD/PhD)

- WNYTC member since 12/31/2025

General/Open/All Levels: This is hard work. Thank you for all you do for our community!

Important Information:

All entries need to be completed by 5pm on 07/17/26. Scholarships will be entered into a lottery system and selected on 07/27/26. Individuals will be notified via email and a general announcement will be published. You may be required to submit receipt of training and completion of the training program selected. The selected training MUST be an EMDRIA approved training. You may be asked to provide a copy of your EMDR certificate of training. You may be asked to provide proof of employment for an agency/nonprofit setting. Members can qualify and apply for more than one scholarship. Members are eligible to be awarded no more than $500 (one scholarship per member).
